Entry Requirement

All candidates are required to hold a  Massage Qualification as a prerequisite.

This training for Pregnancy and postnatal Massage is specially developed for the experienced Massage specialist who wants to offer Pregnancy Body Massage as a new treatment on their menu, it is advised to do the Body Massage Course first for all the underpinning knowledge and experience needed for advanced massage techniques.

The purpose of this one-day course is to show how pregnancy massage is a crucial way of aiding a client get relief from everyday stresses during pregnancy or after breastfeeding time can have on the body. It can support the mother in coordinating breathing, promoting relaxation, and having confidence in her own body’s abilities. This, in turn, encourages bonding and closeness with her baby and aids the therapist/masseuse to work with and understand the effects the pregnancy has on the body and how they can proactively aid relief of aches and pains and promote relaxation using a combination of Swedish massage and relaxing head massage.

 Therapists combine their prenatal massage training, experience, and patient health information to decide on the right path for treatment.

With knowledge of the specific positioning recommendations and safety concerns for pregnant women, prenatal massage therapists can help alleviate several conditions that affect pregnant women, including these:

  • Back pain

  • Joint pain

  • Oedema or swelling

  • Stress and anxiety

  • Muscle tension and headaches

  • Sciatic nerve pain

  • Reduced circulation


 

On successful completion of the course, Candidates will receive a 7 Buddhas Academy Certificate in Pregnancy and postnatal Massage.

 

This one-day course diploma allows you to offer a professional Pregnancy Massage to your clients at your work as an employee at a spa, parlour, or self-employed therapist.

We offer small classes of just 4 - 8 students, making sure that you get individual attention and high-quality training from a very experienced tutor.
